The 4 differences between the Klink Smart One and the new Pro variant

De 4 verschillen tussen de Klink Smart One en de nieuwe Pro variant

A smart door handle is ideal and highly sought after. After the user-friendly Klink Smart One, we have now developed the updated Klink Smart One Pro. This new handle promises even more advanced features and improvements. Curious about the differences? We’ve listed them here to help make your decision easier.

Pro Available in PC 72 and PC 92

Many new-build homes now come with PC 92 door hardware. This means the fitting is 92 millimeters in size. A PC 92 fitting offers better protection against burglary, which is why it is increasingly preferred. While the Klink Smart One was only available in PC 72 — the older standard — the new Pro version is also available in PC 92. This makes the Klink Smart One Pro compatible with nearly every door.

Built-in WiFi Module: No Hub Needed

With the built-in WiFi module, it’s now possible to control your door handle remotely. Previously, this required connecting your Klink Smart One to a Smart Hub . The Smart Hub also enabled connections to numerous other smart home devices. However, the new Pro handle includes a built-in WiFi module. This allows you to connect the handle directly to your phone and smart home apps without needing to install a Smart Hub. The Klink Smart One Pro is thus a two-in-one smart handle — everything you need in one place.

From Batteries to Rechargeable Power

The Klink Smart One Pro provides a major upgrade over the Smart One: the shift from replaceable batteries to a rechargeable power cell. While the Smart One required battery replacement about every six months, the Pro features a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 1100 mAh. This makes it not only more convenient to use but also more sustainable. Additionally, you can purchase an extra Klink Smart Battery so you always have a charged backup ready. This way, you can easily power your Klink Smart One Pro anywhere, anytime.

Extended Usage Time

The battery life of the Smart One was approximately six months, supporting up to 10,000 activations, and it had a 900 mAh capacity. The Klink Smart One Pro includes a larger 1100 mAh battery. The built-in WiFi does consume slightly more power than its predecessor, but the Smart One Pro still delivers an average usage time of 3 to 4 months per charge — depending on how intensively the handle is used. In other words: the more frequently it’s used, the faster it will need recharging. The Pro combines improved functionality with efficient energy consumption.

Updated Chip & System

The Klink Smart One Pro is also equipped with an updated chip. This chip was developed in-house, allowing for full control and optimization. The result is improved performance and reliability, tailored specifically to user needs. The Klink Smart One is a great choice if you’re looking for a smart door handle, but with the addition of a built-in WiFi module, the switch to a rechargeable battery, and the updated chip, the Pro is an even more sustainable and efficient option. Invest in the Klink Smart One Pro and experience the benefits of this innovative upgrade.
